ABOUT US
GS21 originated from GEO-SMART21.
GEO-SMART21 is an initiative of the BTCforGS21 foundation. The initiators and members are fully aware of the climate issue and the increasing pressure on air, water and soil quality.
It is clear that the worldwide economy and energy addiction with the concomitant growth of production and consumption patterns are desirable from a political and social point of view, but also have negative effects. Controlling or reducing this should be seen as urgent worldwide. And even then, even though much is being thought and spoken about, insiders and many others see little change or insufficient progress.
From GS21 we want to take part in the context of "everyone contributes as much as possible", this with a sober view on things. The focus at GS21 is on innovative product and service combinations that can accelerate the transition towards "low to zero emission mobility, transport or MaaS" and also will lead to broader acceptance. This both in the Netherlands, Belgium and other EU countries.

Fuel consumption often higher than claimed
Count on it! Although manufacturers claim that the fuel consumption of their buses is in average 10 liters per 100 km (highway), many internationally driven courier rides show that, in practice, this amounts to 12-15 liters. Naturally, the emissions are correspondingly higher. And there are also problems at delivery locations, see:
Research shows a difference
It's a proven fact, using clean fuels instead of the usual diesel makes a difference! Research has shown that this results in as much as 91% fewer harmful emissions. (See table in the left column, click on the 'table' button)
